Here's another of the truly unique and quite stunning sunglass designs from design team at B&L Ray Ban. It's a pair of Tortuga Outdoorsman in the larger 62mm size and the glasses are in brand new condition with tags. What makes these Outdoorsman so striking is the combination of 24K Arista gold with a tortoise enamel trim on the lens holders, paddles and brow bar. In the case of the lens holders, the tortoise pattern is a baked on glass like enamel which is particularly nice. The crowning touch is the B-15 high contrast lenses that make for a perfect match with the tortoise and gold frames. This is the ultimate in a luxurious driving sunglass. As for hallmarking, the top side of the crossbar is stamped "B&L RAY BAN U.S.A." and the underside "B&L RAY-BAN 62[]14." Both lenses do have the B&L logo etch and the right lens the white Ray Ban script logo. The center metal support of each nose pad also has the B&L logo stamp. The temples are the paddle type for extended wear and the frames are Type II deep groove made from Rx or prescription wire as it was called by B&L Ray Ban. The glasses are in pristine NEW condition with the original lens sticker still in place. The metal parts of the frames are completely free of scratches, nicks, scuffs and dings. The plastic parts of the frame show no age degradation at all and are free of clouding, cracking or fading. The enamel coating on the lens holders is perfect. Both lenses are completely free of any and all scratches, nicks, pits, chips and scuffs. The frames display perfect symmetry and the lenses are perfectly aligned. The glasses come with their original new condition Tortuga aviator hard case. There is no reserve on this auction and a low starting bid of just $0.75.
