B&l Ray Ban Dh Aviator Gold Mirror Diamond Hard 58mm Nr Picture(s) and Description:

Fantastic vintage Ray Ban treasure is up for bids tonight with a pair of stunning Diamond Hards in medium lens size 58mm. This is the more common, but no less rare version with tortoise brow bar and tortoise paddles. The frames are 24K arista gold. The combination of gold and tortoise makes for a very special pair of sunglasses. But what about the lenses? Can any other sunglass lens ever produced compete with the stunning looks AND function of the Diamond Hards? I think not. The diamond coating produces a stunning gold mirrored effect unmatched by other sunglass lenses, but that same diamond coating also gives an unequalled measure of protection from scratching. And that's not all.

The Diamond Hards come in the same special deep groove frame as that used by the General. The heavy guage temples and wide nose pads add to an already impressive pair of sunglasses. But just for that last bit of icing on the cake, there is that choice Diamond symbol right below the Ray Ban script logo. There's not much more you could ask for in a pair of sunglasses. Why pay $300.00 for a pair of overpriced, cheap, name-brand, plastic wrap sunglasses that cost $5.00 to make in some third world sweat shop? The money is in these sunglasses in the materials, design, technology and craftsmanship. And here's a real motivation to get your Diamond Hards now. The supply is starting to dry up.

I was just 2 or 3 years ago that you could find Diamond Hards in relative abundance on ebay. You could even find a new pair or two if you were patient and looked long enough. Not anymore. The things are getting as scarce as hen's teeth. Wait too long and your options will be Diamond Hards in bad and worse condition if that. Get your Diamond Hards now while there are still a few good pair left.

The overall condition of these Diamond Hards is superb near mint. The condition of the frames of these Diamond Hards is virtually perfect with no obvious flaws or wear. There are no dings anywhere on the metal parts of the frame and the plastic parts are completely free of any age degradation or damage. The frames display perfect symmetry and are sparkling clean. Hinge tension is adjusted just right. The lenses are perfectly aligned. Both lenses are very nearly perfect with absolutely no nicks, pits, chips or scuffs. Both lenses do, however, have some ultra light scratching. Having said that, I would still rate these glasses as collector quality or even investment quality. The wear is extremely light, but enough that I can't call them new. Very close to it, though. Both lenses do have the B&L logo etch and the right lens the white Ray Ban script logo with the Diamond symbol just beneath. The sunglasses do come with a higher grade B&L Ray Ban aviator hard case in mint condition.

There is no reserve on this auction and a low starting bid of just $1.00. USA shipping and handling will be $6.50 for USPS priority mail shipping. Insurance, should you desire it can be had for $3.00 more. Payment may be made by Paypal and is due in 3 days. International bidders are welcome and will have their Ray Bans sent to them by Global Express Mail which has both insurance and tracking. The cost for this service is $29.00. Thanks as always for the bids!
