Here's the original cult classic wrap sunglasses made famous by the movie Easy Rider starring Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson. It's a pair of vintage Olympian I Deluxe model B&L Ray Ban sunglasses. The ultimate in a wrap around sunglass design, these Easy Riders differ from all the others because the frames are metal and the lenses are glass rather than plastic and plastic. Sunglasses of this quality are hard to come by these days since the advent of the "all plastic" revolution in sunglass manufacture. And these Easy Riders are in brand NEW condition with the lens sticker still in place. This is the high quality USA-made version, not the current production, cheaply made Luxottica version. Hallmarking on the glasses includes "B&L RAY-BAN U.S.A. 4 3/4" on the inside of the right paddle. Both lenses have the B&L logo etch and the right lens has the white Ray Ban script logo. The lens sticker also reads "Ray Ban Bausch & Lomb 100% UV Protection." The black lenses and black paddles contrast superbly with the 24K Arista gold frame. The condition of these vintage stunners is pristine NEW. Need I say more? The lenses are perfectly aligned and the frames exhibit perfect symmetry. The glasses come with their original black velvet lined soft case which is also in perfect new condition. There is no reserve on this auction and a low starting bid of just $0.75.
